Starting point for beginners
For beginners, i highly recommend Blogger as your starting point due to these reasons...
1. A content management system for your posts, products and services, with the ability to keep them constantly and easily updated.
2. Free web hosting by blogspot. You don't have to pay the monthly web hosting fee.
3. You can create as many separate individual web pages (connected through links) as you want just like a typical website. You don't really have to create a blog with Blogger. You can create a separate web page by creating another blog. You design the page by editing the template of the blog. To make it sound simple, a blog is actually a web page with embedded server side scripting. You can make it a typical web page if you want to by editing the template. For example, my main page (or blog) is www.journey2edollars.blogspot.com.
Then i created another blog with the url www.fasttrack2edollars.blogspot.com, edit its template to create a web page for the Fast Track To E-Dollars Tutorial. So, instead of creating another blog with the new blog, i created another web page. After that, i connect the main blog (www.journey2edollars.blogspot.com) and the web page(www.fasttrack2edollars.blogspot.com) together through links. Get it?
4. You can make changes to your site easily.
5. You don't have to come out with basic server side scripting.
6. You can start building your site immediately and start making money online!
However there are a few limitations with Blogger...
1. You can't change their server side scripting/programming.(But there is an alternative!)
2. You can't upload files to a dedicated directory on a server.(But there is an alternative!)
3. Your domain will be your_url.blogspot.com(Unless you register a domain name and find your own web host).
4. You might have to compromise your flexibility.(But most of the times, you are as flexible as your creativity allows)
